Privacy Policy

SignalWatch ("we", "us", or "SignalWatch") is a market screening and educational tool operated at signalwatch.cloud. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

SignalWatch is an educational screening tool only. It does not connect to any brokerage, does not execute trades, does not hold funds, and does not provide personalised financial or investment advice.

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not collect your name, phone number, physical address, or payment details unless explicitly required for billing (future feature).

Usage data: We may collect anonymised usage data such as which screener filters are used, how often scans are run, and general feature interaction — solely to improve the product. This data does not identify you personally.

Saved strategies and indicators: If you save custom strategies or indicators, these are stored in our database linked to your account. You can delete them at any time.

Log data: Our servers automatically record standard web server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited. Logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes.

Cookies: We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is HTTP-only, Secure, and SameSite=Strict. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

We do not collect or store:

• Brokerage account credentials or account numbers
• Financial portfolio information
• Bank account or payment card details (other than via a payment processor, if applicable)
• Trading history or positions
• Biometric data

We use the information we collect to:

• Authenticate your account and maintain your session
• Save and retrieve your custom strategies and indicators
• Send transactional emails (account verification, password reset)
• Improve the screener, fix bugs, and add features
• Detect and prevent abuse or spam

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or behavioural profiling.

SignalWatch uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting (US region). Subject to Supabase's privacy policy.
• Finnhub (market-data API) — market data. No personal information is sent to the market-data provider.

Analytics and monitoring services may be added in the future and will be listed here before activation.

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your email address, saved strategies, and saved indicators within 30 days. Anonymised usage statistics may be retained in aggregate form with no link to your identity.

Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Database access is restricted to server-side code only — no personal data is exposed to client-side JavaScript bundles. We apply industry-standard security practices but cannot guarantee absolute security against all threats.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your saved strategies and indicators

SignalWatch is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete the account promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of SignalWatch after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
